About Mrs. Meyer

Hi! My name is Lorren Meyer. Welcome to our class website!

I am a first grade teacher at Urbana Elementary School and this is my sixth year teaching. I am the team leader for the first grade team. I am on the Urbana Educator Effectiveness Academy team, our Continuous School Improvement team, and I teach math club for first graders. I love teaching first grade since it is a year of tremendous growth both academically and socially, and I get to share those milestones with you as we celebrate your child's success!

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, College Park where I got my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education and an area of emphasis in Science.

I am in my last year of my graduate program at Hood College, where I am getting a masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus in Mathematics and Science and a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) certification.

My husband Stephen and I live in Downtown Frederick. In my free time I love running, camping, and riding my horse, Fleet.
